Walter Prince - "My Second Life - A Journey with Glass"
After retiring at the age of 59, I discovered the process and beauty of glassblowing. I realized that it offered me a new challenge, independence and the tranquility of working in the moment. The adventure, playing with this liquid in its metamorphosis from liquid to solid, is one wild ride! The process of blowing glass naturally leads one into a vessel making tradition. Finding my place in that tradition has been my journey. I have a strong interest in functional but decorative objects. I approach each object as a unique piece with no two pieces exactly alike. My hope is that the viewer responds to my vision and enjoys the beauty I create. - Walter Prince
